We are aware that other providers of Outsourced IT services invoice based on the ‘MSP’ model. Under the ‘Managed Service Provider’ model, the IT support firm provides a fixed monthly charge (with exclusions). Like an insurance policy, everybody pays the MSP premium, but only some subscribers receive a “benefit”. In effect, companies that are well managed, proactive, and have internal resources subsidize the other subscribers on the MSP model who need more help.The MSP model is a valid model and attractive to some companies. Millennium bills based off a Minimized MSP model. This includes some baseline monitoring services, plus pay-only-for-what-you-need consulting time.With minimized MSP, the actual amount you will pay for services will vary month to month, based on what you need/use, rather than a fixed minimum. For these same services, other providers charge a minimum number of hours, whether you use them or not.Notably, clients we acquired who were formerly on the MSP model, now pay less to Millennium annually, under our Minimized MSP billing model.
